A well-established professional membership association seeks to fill the position of a Training Manager. The Training Manager will lead and manage the implementation of the Association’s training strategy and oversee the planning, delivery and evaluation of all the training activities of the Association.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Principally responsible for overseeing the Association’s training arm and all the training programs to ensure set revenue targets are reached.
- Coordinating all the Association Training programs, including the long term courses, the short term courses as well as the in-house training programs.
- Initiating strategic training programs and partnerships in a bid to increase the training portfolio base.
- Coordinating Marketing strategies meant to build the training wing, as well as meant to recruit participants for all the training programs offered by the Association
- Initiating and coordinating profitable training workshops, in line with current industry trends, that meet the need of the members.
- Liaising with key stakeholders in the training portfolio, which include the Ministry, strategic partners, lectures and facilitators to ensure that all contractual obligations are met.
- Map out strategies to ensure that the training function operates fully and ensure that quality standard are met to satisfy the needs of the various stakeholders of the training arm.
Academic Qualifications and Skills Required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Human Resources or related professionals.
- A Master’s Degree in Business Administration will be an added advantage, especially for non-holders of a marketing qualification.
- Experience in Managing corporate training, proposal writing, and presentation skills is a priority.
- Must demonstrate knowledge of business skills gaps, in particular in marketing and related trends.
- Must be a member of a recognized professional membership association.
- Must have good organizational skills, including the ability to manage a varied and sometimes heavy workload.
- Must demonstrate well developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate and liaise with people at various levels.
