Sales Representative

Job Summary

A holding company with several subsidiaries is looking for a Sales Representative to join its Marketing Department. The Incumbent will be reporting the to the chairperson and will be responsible for the following, among other duties:

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Active marketing of all company products.
  • Development and maintenance of a highly respected company image.
  • Carrying out any other duties as delegated by the chairperson.
  • Builds business by identifying and selling prospects; maintaining relationships with clients.
  • Identifies business opportunities by identifying prospects and evaluating their position in the industry; researching and analysing sales options.
  • Sells products by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects; recommending solutions.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • Reach out to customer leads through cold calling
  • Expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction
  • Achieve agreed upon sales targets and outcomes within schedule
  • Follow up on leads generated for efficient sales execution
  • Coordination with suppliers

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma /Degree in Sales and Marketing
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in sales of bolts, nuts, nails, mining roof bolts and related products.
  • Own cars is a must
  • Knowledge of Nothern markets is a requirement i.e Harare and surrounding regions.
  • Computer literacy & knowledge of pastel will be an added advantage.
  • A qualification in sales or related qualification
  • A post qualification or degree will be an added advantage.
  • Affiliation to a professional recognised body will also be an added advantage.
  • At least 2 years’ experience in sales and chasing targets
  • Experience in the B2B set up or corporate sales.
  • Good understanding of sales planning and meeting sales targets.
  • Experience in planning and implementing sales strategies.
  • Experience in customer relationship management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Class 4 drivers licence will be an added advantage
