Sales and Marketing Manager

Reports to: Managing Director

Internal Interactions: Head of Departments for: Finance & Administration, Product Development & Quality Assurance, Production and Logistics.

Supervises: Sales and Marketing Officers including Regional Depot Outlets and Express Shops team

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Formulates and executes sales and marketing strategies that are interactive to the consumers as well as the products distribution channels.
  2. Creates robust communication channels with customers and consumers through the company’s website as well as commonly used social media to recruit new business and generate multiple audiences.
  3. Continuous brand development to favorably position a registered Products Brand in both the domestic and regional markets. Emphasis to be on the consumer segments of the mining sector and construction industries with a view of maintaining a steady and sustainable growth.
  4. Prospects and exploits opportunities within the Southern Africa regional export market for our current and future products.
  5. Works in collaboration with the Product Development department in pursuing the development of new products as well as improving current products in ensuring stable and extended products life cycles.
  6. Collates market intelligence and exploits opportunities gleaned from such information to expand the company’s customer base and enhance the company’s business profile.
  7. Prepares annual volume and revenue sales budgets and leads in the execution of such strategic goals with formidable analysis that clearly exposes the performance challenges as well as the strengths inherent.
  8. Demonstrates and educates all staff members on focused customer care in building a strong brand image that guarantees customer loyalty.
  9. Champions an effective communication system with all internal stakeholders as well as relevant external parties in enhancing teamwork in the process of driving the agreed strategic ambitions.
  10. Build a disciplined, ethical and results oriented marketing team that contribute positively to the business profitability and organizational culture.
  11. Compiles periodic reports for the management committee meetings as per such committee’s requirements.
  12. Performs any other duties as may be delegated by the Managing Director

Expected Qualifications and Experiences

  1. A Marketing or Related Degree or any equivalent professional course.
  2. A solid digital marketing knowledge especially in Website and other social media platforms.
  3. Three years’ experience in the similar post
  4. Clean Class 4 driver’s license
  5. Ability to use the Palladium Accounting system or similar
  6. Knowledge and exposure to the Paints and Adhesives manufacturing sector(s) will be an added advantage.

  1. Basic Salary will only be discussed with the successful candidate.
