Sales and Marketing Business Development Manager

Your Role

A company is looking for a results-oriented Sales Development Manager to build a globally distributed team of high-performing Sales Development Representatives. You will coach and inspire others, design scalable processes, and effectively collaborate with cross-functional partners. Your attention to process-driven growth, paired with your ability to motivate others, will be critical in helping drive qualified opportunities at the top of our sales funnel.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the top-of-funnel, in partnership with the Marketing & Sales team
  • Audit and optimize the quality of leads mined for the Team in partnership with Marketing Operations
  • Develop always-on outbound campaigns
  • Hire, train, and continuously coach/ mentor members of the Team to identify, contact, and create qualified opportunities
  • Partner with the Sales Executive team to improve opportunity management and qualification processes and to identify areas of improvement for the Teams
  • Work in collaboration with Content and Marketing Program Managers to develop effective messaging to convert inbound interest into qualified pipeline opportunities
  • Accurately forecast & report weekly, monthly, quarterly attainment goals
  • Develop and conduct sales campaigns, as well as marketing and promotional plans
  • Implement, measure and hold accountable all data and metrics
  • Monthly meetings with each Client Solutions team member to evaluate their data and metrics
  • Coordinate and manage weekly, monthly and quarterly sales meetings
  • Daily reports to all Client Solutions team

Knowledge, Skills, Experience

  • 10+ years of business development, strategy development, or sales management experience at a leadership level
  • Management experience with responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work, and managing the performance of direct reports
  • Ability to execute on and motivate a team around growth and sales targets
  • Experience as a sales trainer preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • University degree in sales and/or marketing area
  • Prior oversight and management of 10 plus team members in a sales environment
  • Ability to work international hours from 11am -8pm CAT, Mon to Fri

Remuneration:

  • Salary commensurate with experience
  • Commission and incentives to be additional to salary
