PUBLIC RELATIONS AND MARKETING OFFICER

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for a position that has arisen within the Institute. The Public Relations and Marketing Officer with a technology background will play a crucial role in promoting and enhancing the public image of the Professional Accounting Organization. This position is on a five-year fixed-term renewable contract basis.

Accountabilities:

Within delegated authority, the Public Relations and Marketing Officer who reports to the Public Relations and Marketing Manager will be responsible for the following summary roles:

1.Development and implementation of marketing strategies:

Conduct Market research and assess market trends,

Create comprehensive marketing plan,

Technology expertise to leverage digital marketing,

Monitor marketing metrics and reports on campaign effectiveness.

2.Managing ICAZ public relations activities:

Develop and distribute press releases, articles, etc.

Monitor and Coordinate media coverage,

Respond to media inquiries and maintain effective communication channels,

Manage the organization’s online reputation.

3.Content creation and management:

Working with education and technical teams to create compelling content for various marketing channels,

Monitor and manage social media platforms, engaging with followers and responding to comments.

4.Event coordination and participation:

Plan and organize promotional events, seminars, webinars, and conferences,

Coordinate with internal teams, external vendors, and sponsors for successful event execution.

5.Technology integration and innovation:

Stay up to date with the latest technology trends and advancements in the accounting industry and the wider business sphere. Collaborate with IT to develop innovative technological solutions.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Mass Media Communication, or a related field;
  • Strong understanding of technology and its application in marketing and communications.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing successful marketing campaigns;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content.
  • Proficiency in utilizing digital marketing platforms and tools including the use of common design software.
  • Knowledge of public relations strategies and practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with media professionals and stakeholders.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Experience:

At least a minimum of 3-5 years of work experience in Marketing, Public Relations, and Communication fields.

Experience in member-oriented organisations, and Accounting or Finance industry is a plus.
