The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing strategy that spans sales, branding, customer experience, public relations and digital marketing. The role involves driving brand growth, enhancing customer engagement, and achieving strategic sales targets. The Marketing Manager will work closely with internal teams and external partners to position the company as a market leader, while ensuring alignment with the organisation’s overall business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Marketing and Branding
- Develop and implement a robust marketing strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives to enhance brand visibility and market position.
- Oversee brand management activities, ensuring consistent messaging and positioning across all channels.
- Lead marketing campaigns to drive awareness of the company’s products and services, increasing market share and brand loyalty.
Sales and Business Development
- Drive sales growth by aligning marketing activities with sales objectives, generating qualified leads through targeted campaigns and strategic partnerships.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute sales support initiatives, such as product launches, promotions and sales collateral.
- Utilise data-driven insights to refine marketing and sales strategies, ensuring continuous improvement in conversion rates and customer acquisition.
- Track and analyse sales performance, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement in lead generation and sales execution.
Customer Experience and Engagement
- Lead initiatives to improve the customer experience, ensuring seamless communication and engagement across all touchpoints.
- Develop customer-centric strategies, ensuring the needs and expectations of clients are at the heart of all marketing activities.
- Manage the implementation of customer feedback mechanisms and surveys to gather insights that inform marketing strategies and improve service delivery.
- Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders to enhance customer retention and loyalty.
Public Relations and Communications
- Lead PR efforts to enhance the company’s reputation and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, including media, industry partners, and the community.
- Develop and execute PR campaigns, ensuring positive media coverage and thought leadership in the industry.
- Act as the company spokesperson, crafting press releases, managing crisis communications, and ensuring the brand’s message is effectively communicated across all platforms.
- Build and nurture strategic relationships with external partners, such as media outlets and industry associations, to drive publicity and brand recognition.
Digital Marketing and Analytics
- Oversee the company’s digital marketing strategy, including website management, SEO, social media, and online advertising.
- Lead efforts to grow the company’s online presence, ensuring the brand remains competitive in digital spaces.
- Utilise data analytics tools to track the performance of marketing campaigns, providing regular reports and recommendations for improvement.
Team Leadership and Development
- Lead and manage the marketing team, ensuring all roles are filled with competent staff capable of executing the department’s strategic objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage).
- At least 5-7 years of experience in a senior marketing role, with proven success in driving brand growth and sales.
- Strong expertise in brand management, sales support, customer experience, and public relations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage external relationships.
- Experience in digital marketing and data analytics, with a track record of using insights to optimise marketing strategies.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
