COMMERCIAL SALES MANAGER

 

Job Description

As a Commercial Sales Manager (B2B), you will be responsible for maximising the Group’s revenues by developing sales programs to drive sales and profitability of every SBU through managing the Sales Team. The roles will involve development and implementation of strategies and policies as well as the following key responsibilities.

 

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and drive Commercial Sector over and above responsibilities of the FMCG Market.

Analyse and monitor the current markets and prepare a business plan.

Developing strategies and managing sales campaigns.

Analyse the success of sales campaigns and creating reports.

Managing the sales targets

Organising events, such as product launches, exhibitions, shows and trade fairs.

Meeting planned sales goals and targets

Set sales targets for the sales team.

Develop individual quotas and assign territories for the sales team.

Achieving set sales targets

Develop effective product positioning in the market.

Conduct competitive strategic analysis, customer segmentation and consume insight development.

Brief and train sales personnel

Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team.

Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands the company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence.

Build and promote, long lasting customer relationship by partnering with them and understanding their needs.

Present sales revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team and the General Manager Sales and Distribution

Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new product and competition status.

Identify market trends and determine system improvements to achieve sales operational goals.

Prepare an annual budget to meet sales and financial goals.

Identify different consumer requirements to properly identify market opportunities.

Research and capitalize on different marketing opportunities to improve product marketability and profitability.

Anticipate new opportunities to maintain relationship with important clients.

Prepare and present business reviews to customers.

Gather, investigate and summarise data and trends to provide accurate information through reports.

Collaborate with other managers and key employees in sales and marketing departments to achieve important goals.

Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports as required.

Solicit new and existing accounts to exceed revenue goals.

Write contracts, and proposals, negotiate deals and partnerships and handle complaints.

QUALIFICATIONS

1st Degree in Marketing or Management

Professional Qualifications in Sales and Marketing.

MBA will be an added advantage.
