Reporting to: Head of Finance

Summary of Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist with month-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and generating financial reports
  • Record customer payments accurately and apply them to corresponding invoices in Pastel accounting system
  • Convert quotations into invoices and generate fiscalised invoices
  • Categorize monthly expense transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Ordering, disbursement and reconciliation of stationery
  • Execute monthly inventory checks
  • Maintain statutory compliance
  • Debtors’ reconciliation
  • Capturing sales data
  • Prepare deposit list and initiate the banking process
  • Generate stock sheets and conduct monthly inventory checks

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma in Finance, Finance & Banking or Business Administration with Finance
  • A Degree, Master’s or related financial professional qualification is an added advantage
  • Strong Zimbabwe taxation experience.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment
  • Power point, advanced excel user
  • Ability to demonstrate understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Certified Pastel user and or reputable Accounting Enterprise packages.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in in a similar role
