This course is created to answer a need in the industry which is to increase shareholder value in the digital age using digital media. The 2004 American Marketing Association definition of marketing is that Marketing is an organizational function and a set of processes for creating, communicating, and delivering value to customers and for managing customer relationships in ways that benefit the organization and its stakeholders. In the digital age it means that you cannot do marketing if you do not know how to interact with your customers on the platforms and channels that the customers are using.

This course therefore equips the learner with the skills and knowledge on how to create, communicate and deliver value to the customers online. It also helps the learner to manage customer relations on digital platforms. So this course enables learners to be able to engage in rapid two way conversations with potential and current clients. If organizations ask themselves the question “how do we attract and retain customers? This course provides the answer.

The qualification challenges and excites learners to ensure that they understand how the emerging social media can be proactively and constructively used as a competitive business tool among other applications. The course is designed to prepare for today’s business world by developing a Digital Marketer with knowledge, skills and attitudes required to satisfy the needs of all economic sectors of the 21st century in a sustainable manner.
