Marketers Association of Zimbabwe hosts the 14th edition of the premiere business awards, Superbrands, on November 25, 2022.

The glamorous awards will be held at their traditional venue, the Harare International Conference Centre.

This year’s theme Superbrands: ‘Brand Relevance and Dominance in the Age of the New Customer’ focuses on delivering products and services that meet the most important needs in the life of a customer.

The theme focuses on how companies propel their relevancy through a mix of research techniques that puts the customer in the centre of everything they do.

“Reliability and consistency are the things that are being searched for by the new age customer, brands that can be constantly available when and where the end user needs them,” the adjudicators said.

They added that relevant brands should always be inspirational and should connect with the customer on a level where the customer trusts them.

The Superbrand awards seek to encourage brands to do their best and always be perpetually innovative, creative and engage with the customer.

Guest Speaker at the Superbrand Awards is Mr Mwewa Besa, the President of the Zambia Institute of Marketing.

The Superbrand concept is an international concept that was adapted in Zimbabwe by the Marketers Association of Zimbabwe, in the year 2010. The concept aims to identify brands that are performing above and beyond others within the market.

By definition, a ‘Superbrand’ is a brand that has established the finest reputation in its field, offers customers significant emotional and/or tangible advantages over its competitors, which (consciously or sub-consciously) customers want and recognize.

The Top 200 brands were unveiled in May this year and on the Awards dinner night, the top brands of the year will be awarded.
