TWENTY-NINE Marketing professionals were accorded the Marketing Practitioner Status, (MPS) at a graduation ceremony held on September 24, 2019.
The marketers were accorded this prestigious status at a graduation ceremony held at the Marketers Hub. For one to be accorded the Marketers Practitioner Status they have to be a holder of a Marketing Degree or Higher Diploma from a recognized institute, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a marketing position.

All Marketers who desire to be accredited with the Marketing Practitioner Status, (MPS) offered by MAZ, in conjunction with IMM have to attend an intensive career changing programme the Annual Continuous Development Master Class. This year, the ACPD Classes were held at Carribea Bay Resort in Kariba from 19-22 June 2019. The main aim of Class A is to go through the steps of developing a sound marketing strategy. Upon completion, those who qualify will be accredited with the Marketing Practitioner Status.

One of the graduates, Ms Nozipho Maphala highly recommended the programme saying her class were now better marketers after having undertaken the programme. “I realised that this programme was practical it wasn’t anything out of the ordinary but it was something out of the ordinary all in the same breadth.  I’ve gone into class and I have learnt to take the things I have learnt and put them into theory,” she said. She added: “We are better marketers for having undergone this practical and this course.”
Marketers Association of Zimbabwe, Key Account Executive, Mr Brian Ngona was overall best student in the class. After the MPS, comes the ZimChartered Marketers Status which is the highest status for Marketers in Zimbabwe.
