In honor of Women’s Month, the Marketers Association of Zimbabwe, (MAZ) Women’s desk, known as the Women in Marketing, (WIM) is hosting the upcoming Wellness and Fun Day event, set to take place at the prestigious Old Hararians Sports Club on the 16th of March. This event serves as a tribute to the resilience, strength, and achievements of women globally, while also fostering a sense of community and empowerment among attendees.

Scheduled to be a day filled with exhilarating activities, engaging discussions, and meaningful contributions, the event promises to be a memorable experience for all involved. From mass workouts to spirited rounds of Zumba, tag of war, invigorating aerobics sessions, and even a thrilling skipping challenge, there will be something for everyone to enjoy and participate in.

One of the highlights of the event will be a small yet impactful discussion on women’s health. Recognizing the importance of prioritizing women’s well-being, this segment aims to educate, inspire, and empower attendees to take charge of their health and make informed decisions regarding their overall wellness.

The overall objective of the event however, is to raise funds for the Annual ‘Donate a Pad Drive,’ that WIM embarks on every year. Building on the success of last year’s initiative, where 3000 sanitary pads were generously donated to girls at Jonasi Secondary School and Teen Rescue Mission, this year’s goal is even more ambitious. Proceeds from the Wellness Fun Day will all go towards this cause. The organizers are aiming to raise a minimum of 5000 sanitary pads through donations from various associations and individuals. This noble cause not only addresses a critical need in the girl child but also is in line with the Women’s Day theme, #invest in women, #Inspire inclusivity.  By ensuring access to essential menstrual supplies, we are not only promoting hygiene but also affirming dignity and giving a smile to the rural girl child.
